Villa Fellow Carsten Nicolai (* 1965) developed the expansive light installation "tele" for the exhibition hall of the Berlinische Galerie. It points to the peculiarity of quantum entanglement: Albert Einstein described the phenomenon that two spatially separated quantum systems are in a common state as a "ghostly long-range effect": two particles are connected in such a way that changes take place on one of them, directly and without temporal delay affecting the state of the other - as if there was a telepathic connection between the two. The installation consists of two nearly three-meter-high mirror sculptures in the form of a split Archimedean body, which seem to communicate in a spooky manner.
