Felix Herzogenrath studied art history and literature at the Freien Universität Berlin from 1996-1999. He subsequently studied at the private Tisch School of the Arts at New York University from 1993-2003. He directed and wrote the screenplay of the American short film The inner glow of Things (2003). The film was screened at several festivals in North America.
Since 2005, he has directed numerous episodes of successful German TV series such as: Großstadtrevier; SOKO Wismar; Die Bergretter, and Letzte Spur Berlin. From January-April 2007, he was an artist-in-residence at the Villa Aurora in Pacific Palisades. His screenplay Olympia was shortlisted at the Sundance Institute. After finishing his studies, he returned to Berlin. He works as a director at Studio Hamburg in Hamburg. He is a member of the Bundesverband Regie.
