Benedict Neuenfels | Ballhaus Fellow
Benedict Neuenfels, born in Bern (Switzerland) as the son of the Austrian actress Elisabeth Trissenaar and the German director and writer Hans Neuenfels, is responsible for the visual design of more than 70 feature films. He trained with the directors of photography Robby Müller and Xaver Schwarzenberger. He studied together with the representatives of the “Berlin School” at the German Film and Television Academy in Berlin. In 1988, Benedict Neuenfels founded the production company Giselafilms and has since produced over a dozen theater and opera films, as well as documentaries, short films and feature films. Since 1996 he has taught as a lecturer for visual design at numerous film schools, including Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, Deutsche Film- und Fernsehakademie Berlin, HFF München, Filmuniversität Babelsberg, and Hamburg Media School.
