Polish-born Lukas Glinkowski moved to Germany at the age of three. He studied fine arts at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf with Reinhold Braun and Katharina Grosse.

Glinkowski's work reflects urban (sub-)culture. In addition to his classical paintings on canvas, he incorporates industrial materials, such as tiles, windows, mirrors, photo wallpaper, or neon tubes in his objects and sculptures. Glinkowski's is inspired by architecture as well as graffiti or other interventions in urban spaces and pop culture, including comics, movies and music. During the past years, he has added public performances to his repertoire, co-creating new works together with the audience.

Glinkowski's work is always based on the environment he lives in; his project for Los Angeles will therefore be an appropriation of local culture.

He has exhibited in several European countries, but mainly in Berlin, where he has been living and working since 2014.
