Maren Kames is living as a freelance author and translator in Berlin. Her writing is situated on the borders between poetry, prose and drama and often staged as interdisciplinary live performances and installations accompanied by sound and video. Her first book, HALB TAUBE HALB PFAU, was published in 2016 and was awarded the Düsseldorfer Debut Poetry Prize and the Anna Seghers Award.
