Maren Ade’s debut film “The Forest for the Trees” received several honors, including the Special Jury Award at the Sundance Film Festival in 2005 and was nominated for the German Film Award. Her second film “Everyone Else” was first shown in competition at the International Film Festival in Berlin in 2009 and received the Silver Bear as Best Film, in addition to being released in over 18 different countries. During their stay at Villa Aurora, Maren Ade and Ulrich Koehler will work on their project “Toni Erdmann.”
