Marcel Bühler, a well-established visual artist based in Berlin, studied at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig and has been awarded a number of notable grants and fellowships. In solo and group exhibitions throughout Europe and China, Marcel Bühler has established his artist standpoint which is centered on questions about the personal, systemic and cultural conditions of art and its production. In his works he examines the cultural textures produced through the entanglements and reflections of reality as well as dreams and psychoses as central elements of (self)perception.

In the center of their joint project ‘Chamber of Mirrors,’ Macel Bühler and Cornelia Renz examine two persons, Kenneth Anger and Aby Warburg, who have deliberately put themselves in a borderland between reality, dream, and psychosis in order to gain new insights into the world they were living in. Bühler and Renz plan a working process of constant exchange and reflection of each other’s artistic positions as a basis for a joint exhibition.
