Natasha Sadr Haghighian | Artist
Natasha Sadr Haghighian addresses the socio-political implications of how the world is constructed and perceived. She rejects the notion of being interpreted within the context of her origins and career, preferring instead that people visit the internet site: www.bioswop.net which is an online c.v.-exchange platform where artists and cultural workers can borrow or loan their vitas. The aim of the Internet platform is to undermine the common practice of requesting a vita by having more and more people share their vita, or reinventing themselves by creating a mosaic of diverse biographies, thus undermining the principle of market value based on an individual’s biographical information. For each of her exhibitions, Sadr Haghighian invents a different bio.
