Laura Horelli lives and works as a visual artist in Berlin, Germany since 2001. Her works, mainly video films, explore the intersection of the private and public spheres. Since 2000 she has participated in several exhibitions, including Venice Biennale (2001, 2009), Manifesta 5, Donostia, San Sebastian (2004) and had solo exhibitions at Galerie im Taxispalais, Innsbruck (2004), Goethe-Institut Nairobi (2010), Galerie Barbara Weiss, Berlin (2003, 2007, 2011). In 2011 she received the Hanna Höch Younger Artist Prize from the City of Berlin. She recently spent six months at the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) in Brooklyn.
