On the occasion of her first solo exhibition in Berlin at 68projects the Los Angeles-based Israeli artist Liat Yossifor will talk about the process of making large scale monochrome paintings, which explore the tension between figure and ground, action and stillness. The conversation will highlight the challenges and beauty of the color grey as well as her experiences with VATMH’s Berlin Fellowship in cooperation with 68projects.

Liat Yossifor was born in Israel in 1974 and has been living in the United States since 1989. She holds an M.F.A. from the University of California, Irvine and a B.F.A. from the San Francisco Art Institute. Her show the gray feather a thrush lost is currently on view at 68projects, Berlin.
