Please note that reapplication is only possible after three years. Your last application must therefore have taken place in 2022 at the earliest. This condition applies VATMH-wide and therefore also applies to former applications for the Villa Aurora.

Please note: Dual applications are possible for a maximum of two persons. Each applicant must complete a separate application form. The letter of recommendation must address the qualifications of both individual applicants as well as the joint project.

To qualify for a fellowship at the Thomas Mann House, you have to hand in at least one letter of recommendation in English or in German. After submitting the application form, we will send you a confirmation email containg an upload link to upload the recommendation letter. The letter of recommendation must be submitted until February 23, 2024, 11:59 PM (CET).

Privacy Policy

Your data will be collected and stored for the purpose of selecting the VATMH Fellows and the implementation of the fellowship. The provided data will be processed internally and passed on to the jury members exclusively for selection purposes. Your data will be stored on a server in the data center of Artfiles New Media GmbH Artfiles New Media GmbH, Zirkusweg 1, D-20359 Hamburg until the end of the respective application process.

You have the right to receive information about the personal data stored by us at any time and ask for correction in case of errors. At your request, we will delete all your personal data. Furthermore, you have a right to cancel any further processing of your data and the right to receive your data in electronic form. In all cases mentioned, please contact us for information, correction, deletion or cancellation via infoberlin@vatmh.org.

If you believe that the way your information is being handled at Villa Aurora & Thomas Mann House e. V. is not in accordance with the applicable data protection laws, you have a right of appeal to a data protection supervisory authority.
